This is a free service. Whereas the Do Not Call registry is simply a place to report unwanted calls, this site provides information about the owners of the number. Such information is reported by people who have received calls, so the site can make no claims about the accuracy of the information. It was created to help people by just providing a place to check numbers and see what experiences others may have had with callers from those numbers.

No I did not apply for a card. This is clearly a scam.

I had the same situation. I have called them but refused to provide any personal information. They said that they closed my Walmart account. I asked how can I find our about who and from where applied for the credit card. They told me to write them a letter at Synchrony bank, PO box 965033, Orlando, FL, 32896.
I have checked my credit report after and could not find any information about new account. I requested a 90 days fraud protection online, When I called back to 977-375-4982, they have me on hold until I hand up. NOT TO TRUST.

I got the same text about a walmart card, and also did not call back assuming it was a scam. A few days later my walmart card showed up in the mail - the one that I never applied for. I also got two amazon anywhere cards that I never applied for. Obviously I'm the victim of identity theft, although I'm not exactly sure what the hackers wanted to happen if the cards were mailed to my house (maybe to get them out of my mailbox? Scary). I have alerts with all credit bureaus now, but I'm still worried about getting a Rocket Mortgage or some such thing in my name that I didn't apply for.

I received a text message on my cell phone from 292-59. The message said: "Free Msg:Did you apply for WAL-MART Card? If not please call 8773754982 and provide reference number 13GWWY. Reply STOP to OPT OUT" I believe this is a scam. I didn't apply for a WAL-MART card and I think if I call the number to tell them so, they will try to get personal info from me.
